Proceeds from our 2015 Tournament supported Crime Stoppers, which helped solve 655 criminal cases in 2015, and the Houston Fire Department, who used funds to purchase four "TNT SLC-28 Cutters." The cutter is a hydraulic tool that is designed to cut through metal. It is often called the “jaws of life” due to the shape and configuration of its blades. During severe motor vehicle accidents, oftentimes the only way to reach the trapped occupants, many of which have multiple traumatic injuries, is by cutting the vehicle apart, allowing rescuers access to the victims. These cutters are used by HFD's Rescue Team and various strategically placed ladder trucks throughout the city--- who respond to 700+ vehicle extrications every year. See the manufacturer demonstrating the use of this valuable and lifesaving tool on Youtube. Thank you to everyone who participates in our annual Golf Tournament and contribute to our support of these great organizations.
