As BOMA International is implementing year five of the existing strategic plan in 2018, Chair Rob Brierley has appointed a diverse group of BOMA members to create a new five-year strategic plan. We are proud to announce Houston BOMA CEO Tammy Betancourt has been appointed to the BOMA International Strategic Planning Task Force.
Led by Immediate Former Chair Brian Harnetiaux, the group includes: Judy Purviance-Anderson, BOMA Fellow (BOMA/Denver); Tammy Betancourt, BAE, (Houston BOMA); Mason Bodie (BOMA/Dallas), Chair of the Emerging Leaders Committee; Shelby Christensen (BOMA/Philadelphia), Chair of the National Advisory Council and Executive Committee member; Mark Dukes (BOMA/Georgia), Executive Committee member and liaison to the Asset Management Council; Gabriel Eckert, BAE (BOMA/Georgia); Dave Foley (BOMA/Greater Los Angeles); Chris Horsley (BOMA/Indianapolis), Vice Chair of the Industry Defense Fund Oversight Committee; Keith Major (BOMA/Toronto), BOMA International Secretary/Treasurer and Co-Vice Chair of the International Council; Phil Mobley (BOMA/Georgia), Vice Chair of the Technology Committee; Sheldon Oppermann (BOMA/Wisconsin), Chair of the Research Committee; Keri Taylor (BOMA/Indianapolis), Executive Committee member representing the National Associate Members; Geoff Wardle (BOMA/Idaho), Vice Chair of the Government Affairs Committee; and BOMA President Henry Chamberlain, serving as Staff Liaison.
The task force will be facilitated by Tecker Consultants Co-CEO Paul Meyer, who has previously worked with BOMA local associations and BOMA International. At the Winter Business Meeting, the group will hold its first closed-door meeting as the effort gets underway. The task force will be reaching out to everyone throughout the year for input and will be bringing back ideas for discussion. By the 2019 Winter Business Meeting and BAE Leadership Conference, the hope is to have a new five-year draft plan ready for discussion and a vote.
