Register for Partner Alerts from Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management with Regional Joint Information Center's New System
The Regional Joint Information Center (JIC) has announced a new system to help partners stay informed in emergencies and non-emergencies.
Regional Emergency Notification System (RENS) messages provide updates to and from partners, and include “For Official Use Only” information that can be critical during response operations. Through the new system, you can personalize your notification preferences to emails, phone calls, text messages, or a combination of the above options. By registering for the new and improved RENS system, you will be provided valuable information to better encourage collaboration and partnership in all situations—both in emergencies and day-to-day operations in our region.
Please note: The JIC will NOT be transferring your contact information from our old system. ALL PARTNERS MUST REGISTER through the new system here to continue receiving RENS alerts.
View a brief video to walk you through the registration process here: https://youtu.be/7FBaVckpvKE
You can register for RENS messages now at: https://bit.ly/RENSSignup
If there are other department executives or leadership from your organization who should be receiving RENS emails, please have them register using the above link. The JIC will verify all RENS sign-ups.
