This Fall, BOMI's Board of Trustees approved the implementation of a new term limit policy of seven years, with a one-year extension.
Effective January 1, 2020, all active designation learners will be given seven years from 1/1/2020 to complete their current designation program enrollment. Individuals enrolling in a designation for the first time post January 1, 2020 will have seven years to complete the designation program from their start date with the option for a one-year extension with an associated administrative fee.
Next week, BOMI will embark on a “win-back” campaign to all learners who have remained active in BOMI programs from 2010-2017, asking if they have continued interest in pursuing a BOMI education. The campaign will ask them to identify their interest in retaining active status for current and future learning opportunities.
All learners who have completed a course in 2018 or 2019 will automatically remain active in their existing program enrollments. Learners with activity prior to 2010 (and those who don't respond to the “win-back” campaign) will be transitioned to inactive status. In the future, if these individuals are interested in returning, they would need to re-enroll in the program of their choice.
