The Leadership Lyceum program is for property and engineer managers that have been in the industry for less than 10 years and are looking to develop overall leadership skills. The program teaches these future leaders everything they need to know about BOMA and our industry through discussions with leading professionals, elected officials, and members of the media in a small group setting. Applications for 2021 will open in December 2020. Download the program requirements and outline here.

2020 Leadership Lyceum
Meredith Crockett Soper
What former Leadership Lyceum participants had to say about the program:
- "The Lyceum Program was an excellent opportunity that has provided me with a greater understanding of Houston BOMA and the advantages to being an active member of the association. The opportunities provided to me throughout the program have been invaluable, and I would recommend the program to anyone wishing to broaden their understanding of the BOMA Association and the critical role it plays in the Houston CRE industry." - Chad Nusbaum, Piedmont Office Realty Trust - 2019 Board Member
- "I was a member of Houston BOMA for a few years prior to applying for the Leadership Lyceum program. I thought I understood the benefits BOMA brought to the industry, but I now realize I really had no idea until I participated in the Leadership Lyceum program. The program opened my eyes to the inner workings of the organization and helped me understand how influential Houston BOMA is to our community. Through the program, you get a chance to meet City council members, members of the press, and attend a Houston BOMA Board of Directors meeting with leaders from the commercial real estate industry. It takes networking to a whole different level; you gain exposure to people whom otherwise, you may not get the opportunity. I believe participating in the program has been a great stepping stone for my career." - Meredith Cress, Hines - Past President and 2019 Board Member
- "The program provided great insight to the behind the scenes look at our industry’s legislative challenges and the avenues in which we channel our efforts." - David Piro, Hines - 2020 Board Member
"The Leadership Lyceum was a comprehensive insight into the many aspects of BOMA. It helped me recognize the leadership and support that all of us need, and in turn, the need to share our own experiences and passions to positively sustain and promote the real estate industry and the professionals within it." - Sarah Sutton, CBRE - 2014 TOBY Committee Chair
